Little Angels by Amy Romine

I know as girl, I always love to have my moments where I curl up with a good romance novel. The best part is when the romance has some suspense mixed into the plot. I have found a really good book to mix in with the mood I was in wanting to read a romantic and suspenseful novel.

Here’s a lit bit of information about the novel then I’ll give my review right below the info.

What if saving little angels meant becoming the monster?

When Special Agent Nick McFarlane receives news that his partner of eight years is in trouble, he doesn’t hesitate. Throwing himself into a deep cover operation to expose and shut down The Micahs, a child trafficking ring, Nick enters, unprepared for the reality that awaits.

Special Agent Meredith Richards took the assignment fully aware of the consequences. Leaving her life behind, she knew she wouldn’t be able to get out with her life until she shut the Micahs down for good.

When Meredith’s informant is murdered and her contact inside the organization starts to lose control, Meredith is forced to make choices she can’t take back. On the edge of sacrificing herself, her principles, and her life, she begins to wonder if she will survive the case, or if she even wants to.

So I really enjoyed this book. It did take me a while to get into it, but that was more for the fact that I was trying to balance school and reading and research work for the lab that I work in. If I hadn’t of been so busy, then I would have gotten into it a lot faster.

Aside from that, I truly loved the plot of the book and the characters themselves. I have already decided that I want a Special Agent Nick McFarlane for myself. I have such a respect for him that only this book could have given me. I also love the fact that Amy Romine has badass female leads in her novel. She doesn’t follow the stereotype of the woman having to be weak or frail that some romance novels have.

In all, I would suggest reading this book whenever you get the chance if you want a suspenseful but romantic book to fill up your afternoon.

Until next time,
